Emily has 12+ years of experience building and running four companies in four different countries that work across the specialty cacao value chain, from post-harvest processing and export operations in Central America to cacao import and distribution offices in the U.S. and Europe. Through her leadership at Uncommon Cacao, she supports hundreds of the world's best chocolate makers in transparently sourcing quality cacao from 15+ countries. Emily is the CEO & Founder of Uncommon Cacao, a group of companies which includes all four of those businesses. Emily was awarded the FCIA Recognition of Excellence for Outstanding Contribution at Origin to the Sustainability of Fine Chocolate in 2017, and she is an Ashoka Fellow and an Unreasonable Fellow.
